This article highlights Maf Roda’s strategic focus on AI and smart robotics, with the company set to unveil two new software platforms at Fruit Attraction aimed at enhancing automation and operational efficiency for various fresh produce categories.

Maf Roda will debut two new software lines specifically designed to meet the current demands of the market at this year’s Fruit Attraction.
The first, Smart technology, is a 100 per cent AI-based solution developed for citrus and avocados with advanced self-adjustment and automation capabilities.
Its QS Series, meanwhile, is tailored for cherries, blueberries, and stonefruit and features a redesigned user interface for a more agile and intuitive experience, along with a substantial improvement in analysis accuracy through AI.
They form part of a range of innovations in postharvest processing automation that the company will be showcasing at the fair, which have a strong focus on AI, smart robotics, and operational efficiency.
These include upgraded image grading technology, capable of analysing fruit in real time and determining its quality grade with greater precision.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the new AI Station, where advanced software solutions – already operating in systems such as Globalscan 7, Cherryscan, and Berryscan – will be showcased interactively. These solutions cover a wide range of fruits, including citrus, apples, avocados, cherries, blueberries, and stone fruit, among others.
In addition, Maf Roda will present the Line Pack for stonefruit – a fully automated packing system with alveoli, enabling continuous orientation and distribution of fruit.
At this edition of Fruit Attraction, Strauss – a company recently acquired by the MAF Roda Group that specialises in the processing of asparagus (white, violet, and green), apples, leeks, and similar vegetables – will have its own independent stand, from which it will showcase its innovative sorting and processing technologies.
Among its key innovations is the OptiSort G Series, a machine specifically designed for asparagus grading. It features an advanced cleaning system that optimises resource use and a powerful optical camera for automated quality assessment. Its modular design provides high versatility, allowing adaptation to customers’ individual needs.
