Heritage Auctions has announced its major January 2026 events: the NYINC World & Ancient Coins Auction and the FUN United States Coins Auction. These flagship sales will feature select items from historic collections, with pre-bidding already underway.

Heritage Auctions (headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA) will host the globally significant “NYINC World & Ancient Coins Auction” and the “FUN United States Coins Auction” in January 2026. These auctions, traditionally held in January, attract significant attention from collectors and investors worldwide. For 2026, a selection of valuable coins from several historic collections will be offered. Pre-bidding is now open, with numerous bids already received from around the world.
This auction will be held as part of a special session at the FUN (Florida United Numismatists) Convention in Orlando, Florida. From the collection of renowned U.S. coin collector Harvey B. Jacobson Jr., 68 lots of extremely rare and historically significant late 18th to early 19th century U.S. $5 gold coins (early Half Eagles) will be offered. This collection, destined to be passed on to the next generation, is drawing major interest from collectors.
The NYINC (New York International Numismatic Convention) auction in New York will feature the following historic collections:
• Cambridge Collection: Numerous ancient coin masterpieces, including early Greek gold and silver coins, and Croesus gold staters from the ancient Lydian Kingdom.
• Eternal Collection Part III: Primarily composed of rare coins from Britain, Central Europe, and the colonial era.
• Peh Family Collection Part IV: A gathering of items with high artistic and rarity value, such as Queen Victoria’s “Una and the Lion” £5 gold piece, Charles I’s Triple Unite gold coin, and ancient Sicilian silver coins.
• Naim Margulis Collection of British Coinage: Featuring fine examples of modern British gold coins, such as a George IV £5 gold piece.

The FUN auction in Florida will feature the following notable collections:
• Presidio Collection: All 38 lots, including the legendary “1804 Class III Draped Bust Dollar.” These dollar silver coins, combining historical background with extreme rarity, are attracting global attention.
• Costa Family Collection Part II: Featuring numerous masterpieces representing early U.S. gold coins, including Stella gold coins.
• Harvey B. Jacobson Jr. Collection (relisted): Offered in the January 8 special session as a core collection of early Half Eagle gold coins.
• COL Steven Ellsworth Collection: Offered in the January 8 special session, primarily consisting of large U.S. one-cent copper coins minted from 1793 to 1796.
In addition to masterpieces from famous collections, these auctions will feature over 4,700 rare coins in total, presenting an unmissable major opportunity for collectors and investors worldwide.
