The Milan-based jewelry maison Buccellati has introduced its new ‘Ghirlanda Colore’ collection. This modern, elegant design seamlessly blends traditional goldsmithing craftsmanship with a bold vision.
The ‘Ghirlanda’ collection draws inspiration from the garlands (decorative wreaths of flowers, leaves, and fruits tied with ribbons) seen in the works of Renaissance sculptor Della Robbia. The newly launched ‘Ghirlanda Colore’ incorporates vibrant colored stones, bringing a new expression to the collection.
The motif, designed to maximize the beauty of the gemstones, is expressed through sophisticated gold openwork technique. The appearance is iconic, as if the stones are floating within delicate lace. The structure, which shows no trace of welding, speaks to Buccellati’s signature lightness and high level of finish.
Three types of colored stones are available: blue sapphire, symbolizing wisdom and sincerity; pink sapphire, representing love and luck; and green tsavorite, symbolizing vitality. The lineup includes items such as an eternal ring, pendant, earrings, and bracelet.
