Official Directive

On the request of Assistant Mining Engineer (AME), Yamunanagar district, Dr Rajesh Kumar; Deputy Commissioner Preeti recently issued directions to the officers of UHBVN to disconnect connections of those plants.

According to the information available, AME Dr Rajesh Kumar wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner Preeti on December 25, 2025.

In his letter, he wrote to the DC that a number of stone crushers and screening plants were situated close to the areas of Yamuna, Som, Pathrala and Boli rivers/seasonal rivulets in Yamunanagar district. He said that some of the plants carried out illegal mining of minerals.

“FIRs had been registered against owners of some of the stone crushers and screening plants in connection with illegal mining in the past. But despite the cases, they are still doing illegal mining,” wrote Dr Rajesh Kumar to the Deputy Commissioner.
