Actor Zhang Kangle stars in Bottega Veneta’s 2026 Chinese New Year advertising campaign. The campaign is set to the classic melody of the song “Sweet Honey” (甜蜜蜜), connecting heartwarming scenes of daily life to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with a delightful surprise to kick off the year.
In a feature for ELLEMEN magazine, Zhang Kangle shared his thoughts on acting and life.
The feature, titled “Youth and Cat, Welcoming the New Year,” highlights growing within stories and being trusted in reality.
Zhang Kangle focuses on the present instead of distant goals, facing pressure and cherishing dreams in the ever-changing industry. Like the solar term ‘Beginning of Spring’ heralding the end of winter, he sees each shoot as an opportunity for growth, moving forward calmly without giving up easily.
Zhang Kangle actively promoted the campaign on his social media, posting: “With @BottegaVeneta, picking a bunch of New Year flowers to spend the New Year with vibrant vitality. Explore the Bottega Veneta 2026 Chinese New Year Selection Series.” The post included the hashtags #WishingYouASweetNewYear, #BVChineseNewYearSelection, and #BottegaVeneta.
He was also featured in other brand content. Boucheron highlighted him with their Quatre Black series mini new works, captioning: “Capturing @张康乐_’s confident image, the Quatre Black series mini new works, with simple design depicting pure essence, meeting more possibilities of the self.”
Additionally, he was spotted at the “Weibo Night” event, where he received the “Most Anticipated Actor of the Year” award.
