LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has appointed Laura Burdese, currently Deputy CEO of Bulgari, as the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bulgari Group, effective July 1. Jean Christophe Babin will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgari, CEO of Bulgari Hotel operations, and President of the Bulgari Foundation. Both executives will report directly to Stéphane Bianchi, LVMH Group General Manager and CEO of the Watches & Jewelry division.
Laura Burdese began her career in 1996 at the German skincare and consumer goods manufacturer Beiersdorf. After a stint at L’Oréal, she joined the Swatch Group in 1999. In 2006, she became Country General Manager, and in 2012, she was appointed President and CEO of the Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry business, which was under license by the Swatch Group. From 2016 to 2021, she served as President and CEO of the Italian fragrance brand Acqua di Parma, owned by LVMH. She joined Bulgari in 2022 as Vice President of Marketing & Communications and has held her current role since July 2024.
Jean Christophe Babin, a graduate of the prestigious HEC Business School in Paris, joined Procter & Gamble in 1983. After holding key positions at the Boston Consulting Group and Henkel, he was appointed CEO of LVMH-owned TAG Heuer in 2000. After leading the brand for 12 years, he assumed his current role in February 2013. Notably, since March 2025, he has also been serving as CEO of the LVMH Watches division, overseeing the three brands Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith.
