Alignment with the Cuanza Agreement

The accession of ENDIAMA and SODIAM extends and solidifies the common direction established by the Cuanza Agreement. Signed in June 2025 by multiple diamond-producing countries and relevant parties, including Angola, Botswana, Namibia, and representatives from the midstream diamond industry, the agreement reflects a shared consensus on supporting the long-term development of the natural diamond industry and expresses continued concern for the communities and people whose livelihoods depend on it.
According to the spirit of the agreement, all parties will leverage the NDC platform to undertake practical actions such as market promotion and consumer education. These efforts aim to maintain the long-term healthy development and industry credibility of the natural diamond sector, continuously deepen consumer understanding of the true value of natural diamonds, and inspire emotional resonance and aspiration. Recently, the Angolan side has completed its capital contribution, tangibly demonstrating the positive commitments made since the launch of the Cuanza Agreement.

As the Council’s representation across the entire natural diamond supply chain continues to strengthen, we will be better positioned to promote industry consensus, deepen consumer education, and further solidify public trust in the rarity of natural diamonds and their social and economic value.”
