Amid soaring gold prices, a pigeon flew away with a gold chain worth about one lakh rupees in its beak. According to information, artisans were preparing gold ornaments in a shop in the main Sarafa market of the city. Suddenly, a pigeon entered the shop and flew away with a finished chain kept on the counter.
Seeing the pigeon fly away with the chain, the shopkeeper and customers were stunned for a few moments. The pigeon flew and perched on a high roof in the market itself. The news spread like wildfire throughout the market, and a crowd of hundreds gathered outside the shop. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on that roof and the pigeon’s beak, where gold worth about one lakh was dangling.
