Gold and silver prices continued their strong rally on Wednesday, 4th February 2026.

In the domestic commodity market, gold and silver prices recorded a strong surge for the second consecutive day. On Wednesday, 4th February, gold crossed the level of ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams, while silver prices recorded a massive jump of 4 percent. This surge has been recorded following gains in the international market. Today, the spot gold rate rose by 2.2% and reached $5,044.74 per ounce.

MCX Gold Silver Rate Today

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for April contract delivery reached ₹160,755 per 10 grams with a gain of over 4 percent. Meanwhile, silver for March contract delivery reached ₹284,094 per kg with a strong surge of 6 percent.

The weakness of the dollar against other major currencies, except the yen, has supported gold and silver prices. Traders are buying, driven by positive US data and expectations of a softer stance from the Federal Reserve.

Gold Prices in Major Cities Including Delhi and Mumbai

According to Good Returns, on Wednesday, 4th February, 24-carat gold in Chennai was recorded at ₹1,62,560 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,49,000 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune, the price of 24-carat gold was ₹1,60,530 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,47,150 per 10 grams. In the capital Delhi, 24-carat gold was being sold at ₹1,60,680 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,47,300 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, in Vadodara and Ahmedabad, the price of 24-carat gold was ₹1,60,580 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was being sold at ₹1,47,200 per 10 grams.
