Gold futures prices on the MCX started trading lower today as investors booked profits, putting pressure on prices. According to Bullion Tracker, the price of gold ranged between approximately ₹2,38,800 and ₹2,41,000. Meanwhile, the price of silver was recorded at ₹2,41,260 per kilogram.

International Market Trends

In the international market, spot silver fell by nearly 1 percent to $76.94 per ounce. Trading activity remained sluggish as markets in China were closed for the Lunar New Year. According to analysts, China’s role has been significant in the recent volatility, especially in silver, and the market closure has impacted trading.

In Mumbai, 24-carat gold is selling at ₹1,54,950 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, it is ₹1,54,740. In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,54,680 per 10 grams. Gold prices are highest in South Indian cities. In Chennai, gold is at ₹1,55,400 per 10 grams. In Hyderabad, it is ₹1,55,190 and in Bengaluru, it is ₹1,55,070 per 10 grams.

In Mumbai, silver is selling at ₹2,40,820 per kilogram. In Delhi, its price is ₹2,40,400 per kilogram. In Chennai, silver is ₹2,41,520 per kilogram. In Hyderabad, it is ₹2,41,200 and in Bengaluru, it is ₹2,41,010 per kilogram. In Kolkata, the price of silver is ₹2,40,500 per kilogram.
