A Confluence of Culture and Industry

In his address following the inauguration, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that India Stonemart is not merely a trade event but a shared platform for Indian culture, craft traditions, and industrial strength. He commended the presiding Industry Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Organization Minister Prakash Chand, officials of Laghu Udyog Bharati, and representatives from the industry, traders, and workers.

“Today, the world sees India as a destination for investment and a market, and natural resources like marble and sandstone are emerging areas for investment.”

He informed that Rajasthan is home to 85 types of minerals and almost every district has its distinct stone identity. He noted that stones from Rajasthan have been used in prestigious buildings like the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and the Supreme Court. The biggest advantage of Rajasthan’s stone, he said, is that once properly constructed, it requires minimal maintenance.
