President Hideki Okada is a buyer with over 30 years of experience purchasing diamonds worldwide. His encounter with a single vivid pink diamond in Belgium led him down the path of becoming a specialized APD dealer.
The Argyle Mine in Western Australia, which produced APD, closed in November 2020. The closure of this mine, which accounted for approximately 90% of the world’s annual pink diamond production, has drastically reduced market supply. Consequently, APDs are being re-evaluated globally not only for their beauty as gemstones but also as assets possessing rarity and finite availability.
