A rare ten-carat blue diamond was exhibited this Tuesday at an unusual exhibition held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition, taking place at Sotheby’s, features a total of eight diamonds totaling over 700 carats. The blue diamond, originating from South Africa, is considered one of the most significant ever discovered and is expected to reach an auction price of 20 million dollars next May, highlighting its uniqueness and value.
The head of Sotheby’s jewelry department for North America, Europe, and the Middle East, Quig Bruning, expressed that the choice of Abu Dhabi as the exhibition venue reflects the growing interest in the diamond market in the Arabian Gulf region.
