The world’s largest jewelry fair recently concluded in Hong Kong, showcasing the industry’s latest trends across two major venues. This split format highlights the city’s continued role as a premier global hub for both finished luxury goods and the foundational trade in raw materials.

The world’s largest jewelry exhibition, “Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong,” was held in Hong Kong. The event was split across two venues: the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) showcased finished products from September 17 to 21, while the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) displayed raw materials such as diamonds and gemstones from September 15 to 19.
According to the organizer, Informa Markets, a total of 3,103 companies from 44 countries and regions participated across both venues. Japan was represented by 318 companies, making it the largest contingent from outside Hong Kong and mainland China. Additionally, 15 countries and regions, including Hong Kong, China, India, Germany, and the United States, set up national pavilions, showcasing the latest trends and regional characteristics through high design quality, unique craftsmanship, and material utilization.
In collaboration with the Japan Jewellery Association (JJA), JETRO established its first-ever Japan Brand Pavilion within the HKCEC. JETRO organized individual brand booths, while the JJA set up a joint showcase booth, collectively supporting the participation of 14 Japanese jewelry brands.

Participating Japanese companies explained and promoted their product features to buyers from around the world who visited their booths. By clearly communicating their unique value propositions, such as “originality” and “meticulous craftsmanship,” they aimed to enhance brand recognition.
