With a silversmithing tradition, Daniel Espinosa gives a twist to the traditional jewelry of Taxco. In a corner of the city of Taxco, a Mexican made his dream come true: to fill the world with brilliance through his designs in a very Aztec style. Today, Daniel Espinosa Jewelry has a presence in countries such as France and Russia.
Taxco is a small city in the state of Guerrero, recognized in Mexico for its silver and other precious stone jewelry, which saw the birth of one of the jewelers who elevates the country’s name in the world.
Daniel Espinosa de los Monteros was born on December 20th into a family with a silversmithing tradition. Full of knowledge about this art, he decided to study Business Administration at UNITEC to be able to commercialize Taxco’s jewelry.
Soon after, he had the opportunity to attend JCK in Las Vegas, one of the most important jewelry fairs in the world. With this visit, he understood his passion for designing pieces, so he moved to Santa Monica to study at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
Passionate about jewelry design, Daniel completed a specialization in Fashion and Marketing in the Netherlands. He concluded his training in New York with courses in Jewelry Marketing Strategy. And that is how Daniel Espinosa Jewelry saw the light of day.
In this way, El Corte Inglés (Spain) and Galeries Lafayette (France) in 2002 removed the barriers for this Mexican’s designs, and since then, the commercialization of his pieces has not ceased.
Daniel Espinosa Jewelry is distinguished by its elegant contemporary designs inspired by the various countries where he has lived and the experiences he has had; these include pieces like cork and glass.
Currently, the Mexican is considered one of the main exponents of national jewelry, with 75 boutiques in Mexico and a presence in countries such as Spain, the United States, Puerto Rico, France, Panama, Nicaragua, Russia, and the Dominican Republic.
