The incident occurred at a hotel in Lohardi Dejagra village under the Jhunwar police station area. Some youths who had stopped at the hotel for tea got into an argument and subsequently fired 10 to 15 rounds into the air. Enraged villagers vandalized one of the miscreants’ cars, after which the assailants fled the scene in another luxury vehicle.
During the investigation, police recovered some live and empty cartridges from the crime scene. According to police, three youths arrived in a car at the hotel around 2:30 AM. A local youth was sleeping at the hotel at the time.
