TAG Heuer and Gulf Oil reunite for a fourth time with the new Formula 1 x Gulf Limited Edition Chronograph, translating racetrack heritage into a wristwatch defined by the iconic blue-orange livery, modern craftsmanship, and high-performance materials.
TAG Heuer once again condenses the spirit of the racetrack onto the wrist, launching the new Formula 1 x Gulf Limited Edition Chronograph Watch, continuing its long-standing partnership with Gulf Oil. This marks the fourth collaborative creation between the two brands, blending the iconic blue-orange livery, modern watchmaking craftsmanship, and high-performance materials.
The Gulf blue-orange color scheme has long been one of the most iconic visual symbols in the racing world. Since its inception, it has been prominent in international classic events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and was further immortalized by Steve McQueen driving a Gulf-liveried car in the 1971 film “Le Mans,” becoming a shared memory for racing fans worldwide. TAG Heuer has transformed this racing history into design language, incorporating the signature blue-orange vertical stripes at the center of the Formula 1 x Gulf Limited Edition Chronograph Watch, paired with a black opaline dial, a blue minute track, and a three-register chronograph layout, creating a vivid sense of speed and depth.
The skeletonized hour and minute hands, combined with sharp three-dimensional hour markers, echo the aerodynamic lines of a race car. The tachymeter bezel is crafted from forged carbon fiber, giving each watch a unique appearance due to natural variations in the material’s texture. The 44mm sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case offers both lightness and high strength, complemented by black DLC-coated chronograph pushers, an orange crown detail, and a blue middle ring, further enhancing the overall racing aesthetic.
