Editor’s Note
This report from INHORGENTA’s milestone 50th-anniversary edition confirms the successful launch of its new strategic direction. The significant growth in both exhibitor and visitor numbers underscores the fair’s revitalized appeal and sets a strong foundation for its continued international expansion.
On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, INHORGENTA celebrated an edition from February 16 to 19 that was, at the same time, the presentation of a new structure and a new era. Growth in exhibitors and visitors and brilliant results confirm that this fair has just begun a new expansion and international growth.
More modern, more diverse, more international, and more prominent than ever. The strong growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors proves it: the new concept is a success.
says Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München.
An investment that has already borne fruit: with 870 exhibitors from 37 countries, INHORGENTA grew by 9% compared to last year. Furthermore, half of the exhibitors were international, making INHORGENTA 2024 more international than ever. With 25,000 visitors from 90 countries, there were 5% more guests than the previous year.
Countries with the greatest increase in visitor numbers were the Czech Republic, Switzerland, China, France, the Netherlands, and Norway.
says the exhibition director, Stefanie Mändlein.
Among the evaluations from visitors, who were almost exclusively professionals, 96% considered INHORGENTA to be good or excellent, and 94% believe the importance of this fair will increase or remain the same.
Furthermore, the strategic change in layout was also successful, placing fashion jewelry next to watches so that clientele flowed naturally; on the other side were high jewelry and precious stones, as well as, further on, machinery. In short, the new floor plan structure has paid off, conveying a welcoming hall where jewelry and watchmaking were palpable.
The continued and solid economic situation of the sector is providing a success factor.
Stephan Lindner, President of the German Jewelers Association (BVJ), states that
High-quality authentic jewelry contributed particularly to this result.
Anja Heiden, General Manager of the jewelry division at Wempe, adds that
says Stefan Rummel, General Manager of Messe München. In addition to the India pavilion, numerous activities focused on the history and craftsmanship of Indian jewelry are planned.
INHORGENTA will next be held in Munich from February 21 to 24, 2025.
