Pearl Jewellery Is Trending This Summer Thanks To This Affordable New Collab With Harry Styles’ Stylist

Pearls have just had a cool-girl makeover courtesy of stylist to the stars Harry Lambert, who has collaborated on Pandora’s latest collection launch.
Lambert, who works with some of the biggest A-list names including Harry Styles, Emma Corrin and Alexander Skarsgård, has teamed up with Pandora creative directors Francesco Terzo and Alessandro Filippo Ficarelli to imagine a limited-edition capsule of charms made using freshwater cultured baroque pearls. Each piece is handset by the brand’s artisans and finished with cubic zirconia and 14K gold-plated details.

“I have such a relationship with pearls,” explains Lambert. “It’s one of the first pieces of jewellery I invested in when I first moved to London. I had this single pearl necklace from Dries Van Noten that I’d wear all the time, and then it has also been part of my journey in styling with talent as well.”

The charms in the collection, which are available to shop at Dover Street Market as well as Pandora stores, evoke a sense of childlike whimsy, imagining nostalgic objects and characters as jewellery.

“It was about seeing all these different shapes pearls could become, and at the end of the day, making something that was like joyful and fun, but cool as well,” says Lambert.

Highlights of the collection include an oversized puffer fish charm, a fairytale mouse charm, a delicate peas in a pod charm, and a webbed-footed frog pendant, which Lambert co-designed, inspired by one of his own childhood memories.

“We used to have a water bucket in our garden, and every spring the frogs would lay inside. At one point, all the frogs would jump up and escape, and the garden would be full of frogs,” he says.

The capsule is part of a new creative platform, Pandora Wonders, which the jewellery brand launched to spotlight the craftsmanship capabilities of its expert artisans who finish every piece of Pandora jewellery by hand in Thailand.

“Every year we are going to invite a creative voice with a strong point of view to co-create cultural moments and relevance as part of the Pandora universe,” explains Pandora’s chief executive officer Berta de Pablos-Barbier.

“I think that we’ve been very shy about talking about our beautiful craftsmanship,” she continues, adding that, with Pandora Wonders, “we are elevating the experience of the brand… We believe that bringing creative voices to Pandora is going to enhance the way we tell our story.”

In true Pandora style, each charm is designed to be worn in an endless number of ways, meaning you can have fun with styling the pieces and truly make them your own; whether it’s a single mushroom hanging from a hoop earring, or the full collection stacked up on a bangle.
