LVMH has announced a leadership transition at Bulgari, with Deputy CEO Laura Burdese set to become CEO in 2026, succeeding Jean-Christophe Babin, who will remain Chairman.
The world’s number one luxury group, LVMH, announced on Thursday the appointment of Laura Burdese as CEO of the Italian jewelry firm Bulgari, effective July 1, 2026.
Laura Burdese, 54, who has been Deputy CEO since July 2024, succeeds Jean-Christophe Babin, who remains Chairman of Bulgari’s Board of Directors, “while continuing to serve as CEO of Bulgari Hotels and President of the Bulgari Foundation,” according to a statement.
Laura Burdese will report to Stéphane Bianchi, Deputy CEO of LVMH and CEO of LVMH’s Watches and Jewelry division.
Laura Burdese joined LVMH in 2016 as CEO of the Italian perfume firm Aqua di Parma before joining Bulgari in 2022 as Vice President of Marketing and Communication, and later as Deputy CEO.
Prior to LVMH, she worked at Beiersdorf, L’Oréal, and Swatch.
In the first nine months of 2025, LVMH’s Watches and Jewelry division (Bulgari, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, Chaumet…) recorded a turnover decline of -2 percent, to 7.4 billion euros.
