**Editor’s Note:** Japanese stars Keiko Kitagawa and Yuta Jinguuji joined Hollywood icons Michelle Yeoh and Ken Watanabe at the Paris Haute Couture Collection, marking a notable cross-cultural gathering of talent on the global fashion stage.
MIKIMOTO (Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) held a press preview at the Hôtel d’Évreux on Place Vendôme in Paris during the Paris Haute Couture Collection in July 2026, unveiling its new high jewellery collection, ‘L’éclat’.
To celebrate the launch, the venue was attended by celebrities associated with Mikimoto from Japan and abroad, including actors Keiko Kitagawa, Yuta Jinguuji of Number_i, Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh, and Ken Watanabe. This release introduces the glamorous event of the day.
Keiko Kitagawa appeared in a black dress harmonizing with the venue’s atmosphere, which symbolized the collection’s theme of ‘light’. She paired it with a necklace and earrings featuring pearls framing delicate forms and diamonds of various cuts.
Yuta Jinguuji attended wearing a necklace adorned with a bold aquamarine and a ring he personally helped create. His sophisticated attire added elegance to the venue. Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh reunited at the venue with Ken Watanabe, known for co-starring in films. They showcased elegant jewellery styles highlighting their individual personalities, accompanied by their well-coordinated interactions.

The event was held at the historic Hôtel d’Évreux on Place Vendôme in Paris. The venue welcomed guests with a fantastical presentation as if light itself were breathing. The new high jewellery collection ‘L’éclat’, inspired by light instantly released from silence, featured various scenes created by light projected in the space, impressively showcasing the collection’s appeal.
Keiko Kitagawa, a Mikimoto jewellery enthusiast and campaign visual model; Yuta Jinguuji, who has been in partnership with Mikimoto since November 2024; Michelle Yeoh, who participated in Mikimoto’s global campaign in March; and Ken Watanabe, an actor active both in Japan and internationally, appeared at the venue.
Adorned with high jewellery from ‘L’éclat’, including necklaces, earrings, and brooches, each guest presented an elegant style. At the venue, they were seen admiring the new collection and enjoying interactions with designers and other guests. The sight of them viewing the exhibition while experiencing the collection’s world in a space colored by fantastical light displays was impressive.

Keiko Kitagawa wore a necklace constructively expressing the diffusion of light and dress jewellery with graceful drapes. Her unique charm and the innovative jewellery resonated, presenting a sophisticated look that stood out against her chic black dress.
Yuta Jinguuji
Yuta Jinguuji wore a necklace featuring a large, brilliantly shining aquamarine at its center, with beautiful three-dimensional construction. He appeared in a stylish, elegant jacket that evoked the theme of light. On his hand was a ring created through the special content ‘The Layers of Light’, which documented the journey of creating a one-of-a-kind jewellery piece, with Jinguuji involved from the design conception stage through repeated dialogues with Mikimoto’s designers.

Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh captivated the venue wearing a necklace radiating dazzling light from South Sea pearls, along with imposing jewellery pieces that mirrored her life journey—supple yet with underlying strength.
Ken Watanabe
Ken Watanabe appeared in an elegant tailored jacket style. He wore a brooch inspired by Mikimoto’s past expressions of ‘light’, giving new interpretation to universal radial layouts and star-shaped forms. The deep blue brilliance harmonized with Watanabe’s sophisticated presence.
Thai actor James Jirayu, in partnership with Mikimoto, and Amelia Windsor, a member of the British royal family and model, also attended. James Jirayu appeared wearing a necklace and ring featuring the rich colors of golden pearls against a sharp, elongated silhouette. Amelia Windsor elegantly presented a necklace and earrings capturing celestial orbits and the shining trails of meteors.
After touring the venue, everyone smiled and answered interviews from domestic and international media. The event concluded in an atmosphere filled with luxurious afterglow.
