Geo Group expands its vintage retail footprint with the opening of VALEUR Futako-Tamagawa, the second location under its OKURA-operated select store brand, following the Omotesando debut earlier this year.
A select vintage store ‘VALEUR’ has opened in Futako-Tamagawa as the second location of Geo Group’s new business venture.
The directly managed store ‘VALEUR Futako-Tamagawa’ (Setagaya-ku, Tamagawa 2), operated by OKURA (Toshima-ku) under Geo Holdings (Nagoya) group, opened on July 7. This is the second store following the first opening in Omotesando in 2025. The group, which also runs the reuse shop ‘Second Street,’ acquired OKURA’s parent company, Ookura Holdings (Fukuoka), in 2019. OKURA specializes in high-end reused luxury watches, bags, and jewelry. ‘VALEUR’ means ‘value’ in French, and under the concept ‘Always with time-honored value,’ it offers products and services leveraging OKURA’s watch maintenance technology and procurement network.
The luxury brand reuse market has seen rapid growth in recent years, driven by rising prices and shortages in the primary market, which have increased product value. Store manager Yusuke Endo commented:
The store has an area of approximately 12 tsubo (about 40 sqm). Positioning Futako-Tamagawa as ‘an area where sophisticated culture, rich nature, and a high-quality lifestyle merge,’ the store is designed with a ‘living room’ theme, combining wood and stainless steel materials to create a calm, high-quality atmosphere. The store offers approximately 300 items, including watches, bags, and jewelry, primarily from Cartier and Hermès, including stock. The initial lineup includes about 80 vintage Cartier watches, such as the ‘Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP)’ and ‘Cartier Tank Louis 2 Time Zone CPCP 18KWG.’ The company defines watches made before 1970 as vintage. A 12-month warranty is provided after purchase, and repairs are handled by watch craftsmen, including first-class watch repair technicians, in accordance with the warranty terms on the sales and warranty certificates.
