jewellery connoisseurs moved from one unveiling to the next as the maisons revealed their latest High Jewellery collections. One week, countless jewels. Here’s my edit of the collections I discovered in Paris, and the piece from each that stayed with me.

is one of Van Cleef & Arpels’ most ambitious High Jewellery collections yet, a remarkable 180-piece homage to a civilisation that has inspired the Maison for more than a century. The Paysage bracelets are among the collection’s most mesmerising jewels, transforming Egypt’s ancient landscapes into miniature worlds that unfold across the wrist through colour and the maison’s celebrated Mystery Set technique. In Paysage Merveilleux, pyramids emerge beneath a star-filled sky of gold, sapphires and black spinels, creating the extraordinary illusion of a landscape formed entirely from gemstones.

Victoire de Castellane’s Diorissima is a joyful celebration of colour, fantasy and the natural world, unfolding across a series of enchanted realms. One chapter blooms with lush botanical abundance, another dives beneath the surface into an aquatic world of shimmering blues, coral and marine life. A final celestial universe looks to the sky, with radiant suns, eclipses and playful clouds. What makes it so captivating is the unexpected way gemstones are combined, creating jewels that feel as magical as the worlds that inspired them.

Signes et Symboles transforms the personal codes of Gabrielle Chanel, the lion, camellia, sun and star, into a collection of 85 High Jewellery creations rich in colour, symbolism and sculptural form. These enduring emblems are reimagined as powerful jewels, each carrying a sense of personal meaning. The Symbole Camelia Rose ring perfectly captures this vision, centred on a 10.32 oval-cut diamond, framed by the camellia, the flower that has remained one of Chanel’s most recognisable signatures.

In Into the Horsescape, Pierre Hardy looks beyond the image of the horse itself, reinterpreting Hermes’ equestrian heritage through form and craftsmanship. Drawing on the details of the riding world, from harnesses to the tools of the blacksmith, Hardy transforms familiar objects into bold, contemporary creations. The Clou de Forge Lumière necklace elevates the humble horseshoe nail into a striking motif, with staggered diamond settings creating a sense of rhythm and texture across the jewel.

Claire Choisne’s Human Being collection explores individuality through five interpretations of a single necklace silhouette, each revealing a different facet of craftsmanship and material. The concept is beautifully expressed in the Tattoo necklace, where more than 580 carats of smoky quartz become a canvas for Victorian-inspired motifs: roses, butterflies, serpents and botanical forms, appearing to float beneath the surface, like precious markings etched into the skin.

Hidden Garden beautifully bridges Jean Schlumberger’s dreamlike world with Nathalie Verdeille’s contemporary vision for Tiffany & Co. The highlight is Legendary Bird: The Sapphire Edition, a reinterpretation of Schlumberger’s iconic Bird on a Rock, built around a 38.48-carat sapphire. Across the collection, nature is not simply recreated but imagined anew, with flora and fauna brought to life through precious gemstones and compositions that capture Schlumberger’s gift for turning nature into fantasy.

De Beers returns to its Talisman collection with four High Jewellery pieces that celebrate the diamond in its most contrasting forms. The standout yellow gold cuff brings together 11 carats of rough diamonds in warm shades of yellow, brown and champagne against polished white diamonds, celebrating the stone in both its natural and refined states.

Serenissima pays homage to the city’s Renaissance heritage and the delicate needle lace of Burano, the Venetian island renowned for its centuries-old lace-making tradition. Delicate openwork, flowing curves and Buccellati’s extraordinary goldsmithing techniques create jewels that appear woven rather than crafted, capturing the intricacy of Venetian lace. And, naturally, no grand High Jewellery collection would be complete without a touch of ceremony. Serenissima also includes a magnificent

Pomellato has always approached jewellery with a sense of freedom, and Stile Libero captures that instinct perfectly, a collection where bold design, colour and individuality take centre stage. The Byzantine choker embodies this spirit brilliantly, with nine emerald-cut brown diamonds unfolding around the neck in a precise progression, their geometric lines softened by rose gold bezels with gently sculpted contours. Architectural yet warm, it feels unmistakably Pomellato.
Colour is the starting point for David Morris’s Legacy of Colour, where vivid Paraiba tourmalines, emeralds, sapphires and coloured diamonds take the lead. The Riviera necklace is the collection’s showstopper, a classic diamond rivière transformed around an extraordinary 184.15-carat royal-blue Sri Lankan sapphire.
