Editor’s Note
This article highlights the dual jewellery exhibitions in Hong Kong this March, featuring a notable “Made in Germany” pavilion among 38 international showcases.

The two jewellery fairs organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) have opened their doors since early March. The 11th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show is taking place from March 2 to 6 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, while the 41st Hong Kong International Jewellery Show starts today, March 4, and runs until March 8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. In Hong Kong, 38 country and industry pavilions will be represented, including the official joint stand of German companies. This stand is organised and supported within the framework of the German government’s foreign trade fair programme by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA).
This initiative enables German exhibitors to present their products and services under the prestigious “Made in Germany” brand. It offers a platform for buying, selling, and networking, and simultaneously serves as a business card for Germany, from which small and medium-sized enterprises particularly benefit. The federal information stand integrated into the joint pavilion provides a central meeting point and valuable insights into the industry. More information about the German Joint Pavilion and the represented exhibitors can be found at: https://jewellery-show.german-pavilion.com. It is accompanied by the Federal Association for Jewellery, Watches, Silverware and Related Industries (BVSU), which a few days prior had published the first preliminary economic figures for the past year 2024.
The theme of the two fairs this year is “Symphony of Sparkles,” intended to reflect that gemstone processing is comparable to the arrangement of musical notes as an embodiment of artistic beauty. During the two jewellery fairs, more than 30 activities and events will take place, including industry-related seminars, jewellery parades, and networking cocktails, allowing industry professionals to expand their networks and stay informed about the latest market developments.
