Editor’s Note
This report details the significant growth and expanded offerings at the second edition of the JGTD show in Dubai, highlighting its increased scale and role as a key sourcing hub for the jewelry industry.

The second edition of JGTD, held from February 12 to 14 in the Sheikh Saeed Halls of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), was packed with new sourcing resources spread across nearly 5,300 square meters of net exhibition space, representing a 46 percent increase compared to last year’s inaugural show. The curated event provided the buyer community with access to an outstanding roster of finished and semi-finished jewelry manufacturers, gemstone suppliers, and technology specialists, and the opportunity to explore jewelry design trends for 2023.
International participation in the fair also continued to grow: 75 percent of the nearly 350 exhibitors came from overseas, representing 24 countries and regions. Seven international pavilions under the banners of Brazil, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Spain, and Turkey showcased product displays. Approximately seventy companies came from Italy, the most represented country.

Thus, JGTD positioned itself as a business hub for leading companies across the entire supply chain. As the center of the jewelry trade in the Middle East, Dubai is regarded by many industry experts as the ideal city for hosting a jewelry event of this scale.
