Hoang Thu Jewelry on Le Thanh Ton Street has temporarily closed for restructuring, citing unprecedented market volatility since mid-May. The store described the decision as difficult but essential for future stability.
On the morning of July 19, jewelry store Hoang Thu (Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) announced a temporary closure due to restructuring measures. The store stated:
“From mid-to-late May until now, the jewelry market has experienced significant fluctuations. We have consistently strived to maintain operations and support our customers during this time, hoping to overcome this difficult period together. However, current market volatility has exceeded our expectations and capabilities. Therefore, Hoang Thu Jewelry is forced to temporarily suspend operations to restructure. This is an extremely difficult decision for us, but it is necessary to prepare for a stronger and better future.”
Que Jewelry, a well-known diamond store in the Ben Thanh market area (Ho Chi Minh City), closed its doors on the morning of July 19. In a notice, Que Jewelry stated:
“We do not deny that the current situation poses great challenges to the entire industry. The market is weakening, purchasing power has declined, and every business is struggling to maintain operations.”
It further stated:
“Que Jewelry will be temporarily closed from July 19, 2026, to August 3, 2026, to reorganize operations and better prepare for the future. During this time, there may be delays in responding to messages and supporting our valued customers. Que Jewelry asks for your understanding and patience. This is only a brief pause. Que Jewelry will return soon and continue to serve our customers with commitment, transparency, and responsibility, as we have always promised.”
On the morning of July 19, Cashion Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) announced on its Facebook page that it would
“temporarily suspend business operations from 8:00 AM on July 19 for two months to conduct a comprehensive restructuring.”
In the notice sent to customers, Cashion stated:
“Cashion was founded with the goal of offering exquisite diamond jewelry designs and helping many people fulfill their dream of owning their first diamond and capturing meaningful milestones in life. We are very grateful to have accompanied thousands of customers on our journey with collections such as ‘Your First Diamond,’ ‘Unique Personal Signature,’ and many other designs born from the creativity, skill, and dedication of the Cashion team.”
However, the announcement also stated:
“Given the significant market fluctuations recently, Cashion is no longer able to continue operations in its current model. We are pleased to inform you that Cashion will suspend business operations from July 19, 2026, at 8:00 AM for two months to conduct a comprehensive restructuring. Cashion hopes to return during this time or even earlier with a suitable model to provide the best possible experience for our customers.”
