Kyocera Launches New Jewelry Brand ‘Labofllie’ Featuring Lab-Grown Diamonds

Kyocera Corporation (President: Hideo Tanimoto) announces the launch of “Labofllie,” a new brand under its Jewelry Applied Products Division, to begin sales of lab-grown diamond jewelry.
The products will go on sale starting Friday, May 30, 2025, at the “Kyocera Jewelry Online Store” operated by the company.
Lab-grown diamonds are a new form of diamond cultivated (grown) in a laboratory (lab). Although they are artificially created gemstones, they are physically, chemically, and optically identical to diamonds produced by nature. Furthermore, they possess a crystal structure that is rare even in nature, allowing them to provide a transparent brilliance.

The new “Labofllie” brand will use stones from globally reputable companies like Star Blue, which are known for high-quality lab-grown diamonds, to offer customers the finest brilliance.

About Labofllie

The brand name “Labofllie” was chosen with the wish that diamonds born in the lab (LABO) would flutter freely like a butterfly (BUTTERFLY) and shine at the customer’s side.
Two series, “Solrelier” and “Polaire,” will be offered, each featuring rings, necklaces, earrings, and more. The price range is from 220,000 yen to 532,000 yen.

Kyocera’s History and the Rise of Ethical Consumption

Fifty years ago, the company succeeded in manufacturing synthetic emeralds and launched the “Crescent Vert” brand. It now offers 12 types of lab-grown colored stones both domestically and internationally. While artificially created gemstones have often struggled to gain recognition for their beauty and value, lab-grown gems have recently gained attention from the perspective of ethical consumption. Amid concerns about environmental pollution from CO2 emissions and child labor associated with mining natural gemstones, growing awareness of social issues is changing consumer behavior for many. The value of lab-grown gemstones, manufactured through sustainable methods, is now being widely recognized.

“To respond to the globally expanding trend of ethical consumption, we believe that with the discerning eye cultivated through our many years in the jewelry business, we can provide lab-grown diamond jewelry with the finest brilliance, leading to the birth of this new brand.”

* “Crescent Vert” is a registered trademark of Kyocera Corporation.
