Industrialist Ratan Tata Passes Away at 86

Industrialist Ratan Tata passed away late Wednesday night. He breathed his last at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. He had been unwell for a long time. His demise has sent waves of grief across the nation. PM Modi has expressed sorrow over his passing. Ratan Tata was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being. Industrialist Anand Mahindra wrote that he is unable to accept Ratan Tata’s absence.

Final Rites with State Honors

Ratan Tata’s final rites were performed with state honors at the Worli crematorium. During this, Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and other dignitaries were present.

Gun Salute and Tributes

Union Minister Annapurna Devi said:

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid tribute to industrialist Ratan Tata by creating his artwork with sand at Puri beach in Odisha.

Final Journey and Last Glimpse

Ratan Tata’s final journey began from the NCPA lawn. His body was wrapped in the tricolor and given a salute. Actor Aamir Khan, along with wife Kiran Rao, arrived for Ratan Tata’s last glimpse. Aamir Khan said:

“Today is a sad day for the entire country. The contribution he has made for the country is invaluable. He was a very different kind of person.”

“The demise of industrial stalwart Ratan Tata marks the end of an era. Tata was deeply associated with the modernization of Indian industry. I had the good fortune of interacting with him on many occasions. I benefited from his perspective and insight. I join the nation in mourning his passing. Om Shanti.”

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said:

“His contribution has been immense everywhere, he has inspired many people. India will always remember his contribution.”
