Rare Gem to be Auctioned

A rare and beautiful blue diamond is set to be auctioned. It was mined last year from the Cullinan Mine in South Africa.

Exceptional Size and Color

The diamond is over 15 carats in size. It is exceptionally rare to find a stone of this size with such a vivid blue color. It is expected to be the largest and most valuable blue diamond ever offered at auction.

Strong Market for Colored Diamonds
“The jewelry market has been very strong in recent years. Among them, colored diamonds, and blue in particular, are popular. Blue is the rarest color, and I believe demand will increase,” said Everett Sotheby’s, Senior Vice President of diamond mining company De Beers.
High-Value Auction Expected

The diamond is scheduled to be auctioned in Hong Kong in April. It is expected to fetch around $48 million, which is over 5.5 billion Japanese yen.
