In Diablo 4, you can craft gems, but the best tier is not available from the start. Whether it’s Topaz, Ruby, or Sapphire – here’s how you get Royal Gems.
You can craft really good gems in Diablo 4. In Diablo 4, you will repeatedly find socketed items. You can insert gems or skulls into these to enhance the respective piece of equipment with their bonuses.
The gems (Amethyst, Topaz, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond) come in different quality tiers. Initially, the best tier you see is probably the normal one, i.e., simply “Diamond” or “Emerald”. The next best tier is “Flawless”. However, you only unlock this quality tier from character level 60 onwards. From level 70, you should be able to craft “Royal Gems” – the best tier.
Then visit the Jeweler in a town and the option to craft Flawless gems will appear. Of course, you can only do this if you have enough gem fragments in your inventory or stash. You get these fragments simply by killing monsters, opening chests, and receiving dungeon rewards. Play the game and you will gradually receive the fragments.
Through the gems, you can further improve your character build.
