This article details a public auction of seized luxury goods by the Ministry of Health. Proceeds will fund initiatives to address the societal harms of drug consumption.

The Ministry of Health has put up for auction more than 140 pieces of jewelry, high-end watches, and costume jewelry seized in operations against drug trafficking. The sale is being conducted through the specialized portal Escrapalia and comprises 148 lots: 23 lots of high jewelry, 33 luxury watches, and 92 lots of jewelry and costume jewelry.
The starting prices, ranging from 50 to 150 euros, will be used to finance actions related to the damages caused by drug consumption. According to the Ministry, these funds support prevention programs, care for people with drug dependencies, and social and labor integration projects. Cumulatively, around 67% of the revenue from the Confiscated Assets Fund has been dedicated to these interventions, and 43% to crime prosecution and police and customs operations. In 2025, this fund distributed more than 28 million euros.
The auction will be active from November 14 to December 4. Participation requires depositing a prior guarantee. The pieces with the highest appraisals are offered individually.
Among the most striking lots are a nearly half-kilo gold chain, a Solomon cord, and various watches from exclusive brands such as Audemars Piguet (Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Vampire), Rolex Daytona in Rose Gold and Rubber, or a Rolex Datejust in steel and rose gold with a pink dial and diamonds.
The initiative falls within the operation of the Fund for Assets Confiscated for Illicit Drug Trafficking and Other Crimes, regulated by Law 17/2003, which allows for the liquidation of these assets through public auction. The complete collection has been organized into three blocks: high jewelry (rings, chains, pendants, and bracelets), high-end watches, and jewelry and costume jewelry composed of gold pieces, gemstones, and other valuable objects.
