The world’s leading luxury group, LVMH, has announced the appointment of Laura Burdese as Chief Executive Officer of the Italian jewelry brand Bulgari, whose watches are manufactured in Switzerland, effective July 1, 2026.

Succession Plan

Laura Burdese, 54, who has been Deputy CEO since July 2024, succeeds Jean-Christophe Babin, who remains Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgari “while continuing to serve as CEO of Bulgari Hotels and President of the Bulgari Foundation,” according to a statement released on Thursday.

“The transition is part of the strategic continuity of the luxury group.”
Reporting Structure and Career Path

Laura Burdese will report to Stéphane Bianchi, Deputy CEO of LVMH and head of the Watches and Jewelry division.
Laura Burdese joined LVMH in 2016 as head of the Italian perfume brand Aqua di Parma before joining Bulgari in 2022 as Vice President of Marketing and Communication, and later Deputy CEO.
Prior to LVMH, she worked at Beiersdorf, L’Oréal, and Swatch.

Division Performance

In the first nine months of 2025, LVMH’s Watches and Jewelry division (Bulgari, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, Chaumet…) recorded a 2% decline in revenue to 7.4 billion euros (6.9 billion Swiss francs).
