Celebration at the French National Library

Roman high jeweler BVLGARI celebrated the launch of the BVLGARI ICONS MINAUDIÈRE collection and its commemorative campaign with an event held at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (French National Library). This space, symbolizing knowledge, memory, and cultural heritage, deepened the message conveyed by the collection and enhanced the significance of the event.

Campaign Featuring Iconic Women

The campaign, completed with photography by Ethan James Green and creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi, featured five women: actress Kim Ji Won, model Linda Evangelista, actress and model Isabella Rossellini, writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and architect Sumayya Vally. Each, as an icon symbolizing strength, change, wisdom, allure, and identity, respectively, fully embodied the deep narrative and emotion contained within the Minaudière.

A Space for Discovery and Dialogue

The French National Library, where the event was held, went beyond being a mere space for appreciation; it ideally embodied the message of the BVLGARI ICONS MINAUDIÈRE collection, which leads from discovery and contemplation to preservation. Following a preview of the collection, the event continued with a private dinner set against the library’s majestic backdrop, highlighting the collection’s theme of ‘Carrying Culture’—a cultural dialogue connecting jewelry, accessories, past, and present.

Creative Vision and Inspiration

Originating from the experimental creative vision of BVLGARI Leather Goods & Accessories Creative Director Mary Katrantzou, the BVLGARI ICONS MINAUDIÈRE collection was born from the idea of creating objects as precious as jewelry, transcending their function as mere accessories. Inspired by the geometric structures and scale of high jewelry, this collection was crafted not merely as objects to hold things, but as objects to hold meaning.

Micro Books as ‘Objects of Intellect’

Specially crafted to match each silhouette were five micro books symbolizing the icons. These micro books, ‘objects of intellect’ made to fit precisely within each Minaudière, carry cultural memories to be passed on to new generations.

An Immersive Evening

The event was attended by 140 guests, including international press and celebrities. A performance by visionary artist Thomas Russell and a live stage by singer Sarah Manesse transformed the space into an immersive experiential venue, further deepening the dialogue between art, culture, and creativity, which is at the core of the collection.

The BVLGARI ICONS MINAUDIÈRE collection is a limited edition product available exclusively in 12 boutiques across 6 countries worldwide.
