New Salary Scale for the Retail Jewelry and Watchmaking Trade

Pursuant to Addendum No. 31 dated February 16, 2024, concerning minimum wages (Official Journal BOCC 2024-15 TRA), the new salary scale for the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade is effective as of March 1, 2024.

The national collective bargaining agreement for the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade of December 17, 1987 (IDCC 1487 – Brochure JO No. 3240) governs the relationships between employees and companies whose main activity falls under the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade (APE code 64.45). This includes:

  • Retail businesses in watchmaking, jewelry, fine jewelry, and goldsmithing,
  • Retail and repair businesses in the aforementioned activities,
  • As well as any sales business, including repair and manufacturing activities when they are ancillary to watchmaking, jewelry, fine jewelry, goldsmithing, and accessories.

An average increase of 1.41% across the entire salary scale has been decided, effective March 1, 2024.
