The 3D printing company Solidscape has introduced its new wax 3D printer, Muse, in a LinkedIn post. The 3D printing system costs less than $15,000 and is based on Solidscape’s wax jet technology. It is said to enable a layer thickness of 25.4 μm. The use of melt-away supports allows for easier post-processing of parts without auxiliary tools.

The Muse 3D printer has a build volume of 76.2 x 76.2 x 47.7 mm and can produce jewelry in smaller offices or studios. Muse operates slower and is smaller than Solidscape’s more expensive machines. The ModelWorks software can automatically prepare CAD files for 3D printing and generate support structures.
