The market size was estimated in monetary terms by analyzing sales volume and average unit price for each product. As a result, the smartphone accessory market size for fiscal year 2024 was 532.5 billion yen (Data 1).
The smartphone accessory market in this survey was analyzed by classifying it into 3 categories and 11 products. The categories are: “Decoration” (primarily for device protection and fashion), “Battery-Related” (necessary for charging via power supply and data storage), and “Connected Devices” (primarily connecting and linking via Bluetooth) (Note 1). The market size by category was 164.8 billion yen for “Decoration” (share 30.9%), 114.9 billion yen for “Battery-Related” (share 21.6%), and 252.8 billion yen for “Connected Devices” (share 47.5%) (Data 1).
Going forward, further expansion in the “Battery-Related” and “Connected Devices” categories is expected to drive the market to reach 669.2 billion yen by fiscal year 2028.
