India’s largest critical minerals firm and the world’s most technologically advanced urban miner, Attero, has received the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) certification. This is one of the world’s most respected recognitions for responsible business conduct and transparent precious metal supply chains.
This certificate is only awarded to organizations that meet stringent standards in the areas of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection, and responsible sourcing.
Attero is now the first and only e-waste company to be certified under the RJC framework, placing recycled precious metals derived from electronic waste on the same platform of reliability as materials produced by some of the world’s most trusted jewelry houses.

The RJC includes globally recognized names such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., De Beers, Rolex, Bulgari, and Richemont, all long-time proponents of traceable and ethical supply chains.
Attero joins this group as a certified producer of high-purity recycled gold and silver, entirely derived from end-of-life electronic devices, offering a responsible alternative to metals obtained from traditional mining.

Leadership Statement
“The RJC certification is the result of years of efforts focused on creating a responsible and transparent supply chain for critical and precious metals. It reinforces the credibility of recycled materials and supports global climate goals by reducing the need for high-emission mining activities. Our work proves that sustainability and technology can reshape material sourcing, while also supporting India’s ambitions to achieve self-reliance in critical minerals. We are proud to contribute to a cleaner and more responsible future for the jewelry industry and the advanced manufacturing sectors that depend on these materials.”

Sustainable Operations and Technology

In 2024, the Roorkee plant completed its transition to hydropower energy, eliminating reliance on fossil fuels and reducing Scope 2 emissions. Attero is continuously increasing its use of green energy through a mix of on-site renewable energy plants and renewable energy purchase agreements.
Through its specialized advanced processes, Attero extracts over 22 critical metals including cobalt, nickel, lithium, copper, graphite, silver, gold, and manganese.
