Titan Company Limited’s shares opened on the BSE at Rs 3,892.70. During the day, the company’s share price surged by 2.5 percent to reach an intra-day high of Rs 4,008. This is the company’s 52-week high. At the time of market closing, this stock on the BSE was at Rs 3,991.65, up 2.13 percent.
The company informed the stock market on Friday that it will launch its first store in Mumbai on December 29 under the brand name “Biyon – From the House of Titan”. This is being launched with the aim of catering to women’s lifestyle needs beyond watches, perfumes, sarees, and handbags. Biyon will be a store for jewelry made from lab-grown diamonds. The company plans to open a few more stores in Mumbai and Delhi in the near future.
The past year has been good for this Tata Group company. Over the last three months, the company’s share prices have risen by nearly 20 percent. Meanwhile, over one year, the company has given positional investors a return of 20.20 percent. During this period, the Sensex index rose by 8.37 percent. It is worth noting that Titan’s shares have a 52-week low level of Rs 2,947.55. This company has a market capitalization of Rs 3.54 lakh crore.
