Billions of rupees worth of gems and finished jewelry are exported from Jaipur every year. There is huge demand for these in markets like the USA, UAE, Europe, and now Saudi Arabia.
At the SAJEX exhibition, India specifically showcased:

– Rajasthani Kundan-Meenakari jewelry and lab-grown diamonds.
These products were considered a beautiful blend of traditional Indian design and modern trends.
In gem and jewelry exports, India is:

– Thousands of crores in exports from Jaipur alone, with over 10,000 units.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has also praised the ongoing efforts to make India’s diamond and jewelry sector a global superpower. He believes that India can soon become the world’s most reliable source based on design, quality, and innovation.
Nevertheless, SAJEX 2025 has emerged as a new opportunity for India and especially Jaipur’s jewelry industry. Will the growing demand for Indian designs in international markets make India the next global superpower in the gem industry?
