This article highlights the official opening of Bulgari’s comprehensive after-sales service center in Hainan, marked by the completion of its first batch of jewelry repairs. The facility, located in the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, represents a significant investment in servicing the regional luxury market.

On June 9, the first batch of nearly one hundred pieces of jewelry was successfully repaired and delivered at the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, marking the official launch of the Bulgari Hainan Comprehensive After-Sales Service Center.
This operational model effectively assists Bulgari and licensed duty-free enterprises in shifting the pre-sales, after-sales, maintenance, and repair services for jewelry sold through the island duty-free channel from the previous “overseas repair” model to “Hainan repair.” This achieves a repatriation of repair business, significantly shortens business process paths, and brings services closer to the local consumer market. Service cycles have been substantially reduced, while service efficiency and response speed have greatly improved.

It is understood that as a high-end jewelry brand under the LVMH Group, Bulgari entered the Hainan island duty-free market as early as 2014. In November 2023, the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee signed a cooperation agreement with the Bulgari Group to jointly promote the phased construction of a comprehensive after-sales service center in the Hainan Free Trade Port. Leveraging the policy advantages of the “Free Trade Port + Customs Special Supervision Area,” the center will provide logistics distribution, personalized services, and maintenance and repair services for goods from multiple channels, including Bulgari’s Hainan island duty-free stores, brand-owned stores, and stores in the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions of China.

Over the past two years, the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee, together with the Macun Port Customs under Haikou Customs, licensed duty-free enterprises, and logistics companies, formed a special task force to ensure the smooth implementation of the Bulgari project by optimizing business processes and innovating supervision mechanisms. In recent years, leveraging the open policies of the Free Trade Port and with guidance and support from provincial and municipal authorities, the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone has focused on the demand for duty-free shopping consumption repatriation. It has now gathered a group of island duty-free license holders, international high-end consumer goods companies, logistics enterprises, and supporting service institutions. Moving forward, adhering to the service philosophy of “proactive service, precision and efficiency, and full-process support,” the zone will collaborate with relevant provincial and municipal functional departments to provide comprehensive support for Bulgari and other industry enterprises conducting business in Hainan, helping Hainan accelerate the construction of an internationally influential tourism and consumption center.
