Editor’s Note
The Mulhouse Christmas Market celebrates its 35th anniversary with an expanded five-week program, aiming to build on last year’s 1.3 million visitors.

Ten additional chalets will be installed, bringing the total from 93 to 103, “with an ever-increasing demand from exhibitors. 59% of the products offered are of Alsatian origin, to meet the desire for authenticity and a growing gourmet offering. This market is our showcase and affirms our originality and identity.”
Among the novelties this year is the pearl by Sébastien Garrigue, a master glassmaker and “Meilleur Ouvrier de France.” Not to forget the year’s Christmas fabric, delicate and fine, by designer Marie-Jo Gebel.

It will be set up at Place des Victoires, following themes of solidarity and humanitarian aid with about thirty associations. This chalet will participate in the “Solidarity Sock” for depositing gifts. Thirty free workshops are scheduled for children and families. Notably, three sessions with the bakers’ guild to make Alsatian “Mannala,” Basel “Brunstis,” and Black Forest gingerbread. (Registration: noel-mulhouse.fr)
On the facade of the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse (SIM), a new 12-minute mapping will be installed to mark the 200th anniversary of this institution. It tells the story of a pearl’s journey on the Rhine, to Freiburg and Basel, ending in Mulhouse. This 12-minute animation will repeat every evening from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
A luminous #MULHOUSE sign will be installed at Square De Gaulle, allowing visitors to discover this new location of the Christmas market, which forms a pedestrian link between the train station and the city center.
They will begin at 5:00 PM daily. 650 projectors will be installed, along with 15 km of garlands and 250,000 LEDs, which help reduce electricity consumption.

Security will be enhanced with the installation of additional cameras and night surveillance of the various sites, in addition to various checks and anti-ram vehicle installations. More speed bumps will be in place.
