The town of Ahualulco de Mercado is set to host events for the prestigious XXXII International Mariachi and Charrería Encounter in 2025, marking a significant cultural milestone as it joins in celebrating Mexico’s patriotic month.

Ahualulco de Mercado is celebrating with the arrival of the patriotic month, while also proudly announcing to the world that it will be one of the venues for the XXXII International Mariachi and Charrería Encounter 2025.
On September 3rd at 19:30 hours, a grand concert will be held in its Main Plaza as part of the encounter, featuring mariachis from the United States and Peru for the enjoyment of the residents.
The Municipal President of Ahualulco de Mercado, José Bladimir Arreola Álvarez, highlighted that the First International Mariachi and Charrería Festival will be an event of great cultural and economic impact for the region, with the expectation of receiving more than five thousand visitors. He emphasized that the economic spillover will benefit not only the municipality but also nearby towns, thanks to the need for more than 200 rooms and integration with the Tequila Route and the agave corridor.
He invited attendees to discover its nearby tourist attractions, such as the Guachimontones archaeological zone (in Teuchitlán), the iconic Piedras Bola (Stone Balls), the Historic Center, traditional gastronomy, and the warmth of its people.
The mariachi chords will also serve to warm up the atmosphere for the Patriotic Festivities that will take place in this municipality to commemorate the Independence of Mexico through a cultural, civic, and artistic program that seeks to highlight local traditions and strengthen community identity.

- Miss Patriotic Festivities Contest with a runway, typical gala attire, and popular dances (September 13).
- Charro Day, with mass for charro associations, parade, and equestrian exhibitions (September 14).
- Independence Cry Day. There will be a popular fair, fireworks, and music. (September 15).
- Civic Parade with schools and local associations. (September 16).
