Editor’s Note
Würth has been recognized with a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies globally for sustainable supply chain management. This achievement highlights the company’s leadership in corporate responsibility within its industry.

The internationally independent sustainability rating platform EcoVadis has awarded the Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG the Gold Medal for sustainable global supply chains. This places Würth among the top five percent of over 150,000 companies worldwide evaluated by EcoVadis. Within its own industry, Würth is even represented among the top three percent.
The EcoVadis rating assesses organizations based on numerous criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement along the supply chain. Würth received particularly high scores in the core themes of Environment and Sustainable Procurement. This is attributed, among other factors, to the company’s requirements for suppliers and certifications according to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and 50001 (Energy Management).
Thomas Wahl, Managing Director for Logistics, Quality, and Sustainability at Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, emphasized:
In addition to Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, other companies within the Würth Group have undergone their own assessments and received EcoVadis medals: one Platinum, six Gold, six Silver, and ten Bronze.
The EcoVadis rating is based on international sustainability standards such as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standard, and the ISO 26000 norm. The ratings provide an evidence-based and comparable analysis of sustainability performance. Overall, the assessment encompasses 21 sustainability criteria across the four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis has rated over 150,000 companies worldwide.
