Rare Fine Wines | November 21

The single-owner cellar auction, “The Joseph Lau Collection of Exceptional Wines Part IV,” will kick off the Fine Art and Luxury Week with an extraordinary selection of supreme vintages. Continuing the success of Parts I to III, this auction offers wine collectors and connoisseurs a precious opportunity to acquire top-tier wines from the cellar of this renowned entrepreneur and discerning collector. This prestigious collection boasts impeccable provenance and condition, reflecting Mr. Joseph Lau’s distinctive and exceptional taste.

“This collection is a treasure trove for collectors, featuring coveted rarities from Henri Jayer, including lots acquired from the 2012 ‘Christie’s Fine Wines: The Private Cellar of Henri Jayer’ auction.”

Highlights include Vosne-Romanée 1992 and classic Cros Parantoux vintages from the 1990s to 2001. The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti lineup is formidable, encompassing Romanée-Conti and Montrachet wines from the 1990s to 2010s. Adding further luster are extremely limited quantities of Domaine d’Auvenay Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, and Chevalier-Montrachet. The auction also gathers legendary vintages of top Bordeaux from 1982 to the 2000s, alongside premier Right Bank wines including Château Cheval Blanc and Le Pin from the 2000s. The 1990 Petrus will be offered as a complete set in various bottle sizes, up to a magnificent 6-liter Imperial, presenting a breathtaking spectacle.

Handbags & Accessories | November 24

The highly anticipated “Elegance & Legacy: Handbags & Accessories” live auction will present a dazzling array of exceptional pieces. Following the record-breaking sale of a Hermès Quelle Idole bag in the spring auctions, Christie’s will build on this momentum by offering more rare and sought-after Hermès masterpieces. These include a Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Birkin, the highly coveted White and Smoky Grey Faubourg Birkins, a Matte Pearl Grey Quelle Idole bag, vibrant crocodile Birkins and Kellys, and a rare vintage Mini Kelly making its auction debut, responding to collectors’ fervent demand.
The auction will also feature playful designs and limited editions from Louis Vuitton and Chanel, injecting a whimsical spirit into the sale. Two exquisite Dior Haute Couture evening gowns will make their Hong Kong auction debut, captivating with their elegant beauty. Whether bold and striking statement pieces or timelessly charming classics, each lot embodies unparalleled craftsmanship and clear design intent.

Magnificent Jewels & Jadeite | November 25

As Asia’s highest-estimated jewel in 2025, “The Royal Blue” necklace will radiantly lead the “Magnificent Jewels & Jadeite” live auction. This unparalleled masterpiece is set with 16 Kashmir royal blue sapphires totaling 104.61 carats, with an estimate of HK$100-150 million / US$13-19 million. Fine Watches | November 26-27

On November 26, Christie’s Hong Kong presents the single-owner auction “The John Shaw Collection of Patek Philippe,” featuring 59 highly sought-after modern and vintage Patek Philippe complicated timepiece masterpieces. Each watch was meticulously selected by Mr. Shaw, ranging from pieces with ingenious complications to elegantly simple designs.

“The reference 5016R (left image) is considered one of the ultimate grail watches for Patek Philippe collectors. When launched in 1993, the reference 5016, combining a minute repeater, perpetual calendar with retrograde date, and tourbillon, was the brand’s most complicated wristwatch at the time.”

The two-day “Fine Watches Special Edition: ‘Achievement’ & ‘Aspiration (Part II)’ Series” auctions on November 26 and 27 will feature numerous coveted timepieces, including two classics: the legendary Patek Philippe 18K gold reference 1518 with a French calendar and the reference 6239 Rolex Daytona ‘Paul Newman’ 18K gold chronograph with a champagne dial.
