The first pop-up event to commemorate the 1st anniversary of ‘QUESERA’, the jewelry brand directed by FANTASTICS member Sota Nakajima, will be held from Friday, November 7th, in Nakameguro, Tokyo.

Prior to the pop-up opening, Sota Nakajima attended a press conference on Thursday, November 6th, where he shared his thoughts on the brand and the dedication behind its items.

The brand name ‘QUESERA’ originates from the Spanish phrase “Que será, será,” meaning “what will be, will be.” It embodies the positive mindset of “it will work out,” which is also Nakajima’s personal motto. The brand expresses through jewelry the attitude of enjoying one’s own life and believing in the future.

‘QUESERA’ initially launched without publicly announcing its director. On the occasion of this 1st anniversary, it was revealed that Sota Nakajima serves as the director. A characteristic of the brand is the incorporation of Nakajima’s skills in illustration and photography into jewelry design and lookbook shoots.

For this special anniversary milestone, the brand is releasing special items featuring pearls for the first time, imbued with a “celebration” meaning. Furthermore, a collection adorned with the ‘Heart’ and ‘Q’ logos newly drawn by Nakajima, as well as novelty items he designed, have been prepared.

“I originally had a desire to try something with jewelry, and I wanted to have something I could deliver to everyone, like my positivity. Since ‘Que será, será’ in Spanish has the meaning of ‘what will be, will be,’ I took that phrase and named it ‘QUESERA,’ a name that didn’t exist before. It’s filled with the wish to deliver positive things and feelings to everyone.”
“Within QUESERA, there are items using pearls for the first time, and designs featuring the ‘Q’ motif. This bracelet I’m wearing today uses pearls and peridot, the birthstone for August, which is my birth month. Peridot has a positive, forward-looking meaning, said to blow away worries. That meaning overlaps with the positive message of ‘what will be, will be’ carried by the brand name QUESERA and my own feelings, so I created it while feeling it was miraculous. I would be happy if it could be a supportive presence by the wearer’s side, like a talisman.”
“Because we’ve been doing this for a year, you can see many of the items we’ve made so far. When it was announced, not only seniors, juniors, and people from LDH but many others said things like ‘amazing’ or ‘it’s super cute, I’m looking forward to it’ about QUESERA, which made me happy. So, I’m looking forward to many people coming to the pop-up starting tomorrow and to the items reaching many people through pre-orders.”
“I think everyone is coming despite being busy, so by actually seeing and trying on the products, I believe you can feel their cuteness, shape, and size. They are truly all my confident works, created together with the staff, so I would be delighted if you could cherish them for a long time.”

The first pop-up commemorating the 1st anniversary of ‘QUESERA’ will be held for a limited three-day period from Friday, November 7th to Sunday, November 9th. Products are made-to-order via the online store.
