This article reports on official efforts to ensure fertilizer availability for the Rabi season, with authorities directing a significant supply of urea for early December.

Jaipur: Agricultural officials held a meeting on Monday with officials from fertilizer supply companies regarding the availability and supply of urea. In the meeting, the companies were directed to supply 1.08 lakh metric tons of urea in the first week of December.
Director (Movement) of the Ministry of Fertilizers, Abhay Kumar Sharma, joined the meeting via VC. Agriculture Commissioner Chinmayi Gopal discussed the demand for urea for the Rabi season, available stock, distribution arrangements, and transportation-related processes.
It was decided in the meeting that 1.08 lakh metric tons of urea will be made available to the state in the first week of December. Clear instructions for time-bound supply have been issued to all concerned fertilizer companies. The department also conducted a detailed review of the stock situation, transportation arrangements, and the distribution system at the district level.
Agriculture Commissioner Chinmayi Gopal said that providing adequate and timely urea to farmers is the department’s top priority. She directed officials to ensure that there should be no disruption in the supply chain and that better coordination is ensured between districts.
She informed that the department is regularly monitoring urea distribution so that a shortage situation does not arise in any district. Contingency arrangements will also be implemented if needed. At the end of the meeting, representatives of fertilizer companies assured that they would continue supply as per the fixed schedule and would not let farmers face any kind of trouble.
