The upcoming auction of the late Dr. Antje-Katrin Kühnemann’s jewelry collection offers a glimpse into the personal style of a beloved public figure. From a striking panther collar to classic pearls, the 250 pieces heading to the block in Vienna this autumn blend personal history with significant craftsmanship.

Following the death of the popular television doctor Antje-Katrin Kühnemann, her valuable jewelry collection is going under the hammer. Around 250 pieces will be auctioned in Vienna in October and November, as announced by the auction house Dorotheum.
The work by the Munich jeweler Schreiner is estimated at 20,000 to 30,000 euros.
The prominent health expert died on March 3, a few days after her 80th birthday. Among other things, Kühnemann had hosted the health magazine “Die Sprechstunde” on BR Fernsehen from 1973 to 2007.
The treasures of the Munich doctor also included several pieces from the Parisian luxury jeweler Cartier, including a pearl and diamond necklace (estimated value 15,000 to 25,000 euros) or onyx and pearl earrings (10,000 to 15,000 euros).
While these valuable pieces will go under the hammer in a hall auction on November 20, more affordable jewelry is also available in an online auction ending on October 23 – such as an aquamarine necklace with a starting price of 80 euros.
Kühnemann wore her treasures daily, according to the auction house.
However, only a part of it will be auctioned in the Austrian capital. The other part of the collection will be offered by Sotheby’s in several international auctions, it was reported.
