Specialist in Acrylic Glass Inclusions

Specializing in inclusions within acrylic glass, Fiva Acrylique Fonderie continues its evolution in Maubourguet.

This company from Bigorre, based in Maubourguet, crowns ceremonies of all kinds. Its decorative and commemorative objects with acrylic glass inclusions have been distinguishing the best individuals since 1991. With an in-house design office, Fiva Acrylique Fonderie fully masters its manufacturing process, from cutting to diamond polishing, including milling, casting, or digital four-color and 3D printing.

“We work with raw materials, starting with Plexiglas® sheets. From the beginning, in the family garage, I believed in this project,” explains Patrick Cassagne, the company’s director. “I love this material, its purity, its optical quality, its feel. It enhances the object or the included material and, at the same time, immortalizes it. With each new block, each new creation, it’s always a wonder when, at the finishing stage, the object frozen in the material appears. The block is born.”
Resilience and Diversification

The company is resisting the economic crisis caused by the health situation:

“We’ve been hit, but we continue to fly. The manufacturing of trophies and high-end event products, intended for television sets or major events, is somewhat on standby at the moment. But we have other strings to our bow.”

Indeed, Fiva Acrylique Fonderie also caters to a clientele of contemporary artists, nationally and internationally known, for the production of works. This market in the art world is growing steadily. But the acrylic glass foundry also encompasses the manufacturing of high-end trophies for the finance sector, which is not suffering from the crisis, and everything related to communication through objects, signage, and PLV (Point of Purchase Advertising).

“Acrylic glass enhances any product, like a jewel case,” affirms the entrepreneur.

This diversification has allowed the company to work in less affected markets during this period.

Protective Screens and Visors
“Apart from a few trophies we made for the Tour de France, the events branch is completely stopped. But we bounced back quickly and manufactured protective screens and standard individual visors, but also custom-made ones.”
Future Investment

Despite the tense economic context, Fiva Acrylique Fonderie plans to invest very soon by opening a Paris office.

“It will be a showcase for our Bigourdan know-how. For this, we are buying back the shares of a client company,” emphasizes the business leader who remains very attached to his territory. “From the window of my office in Maubourguet, I have a view of a 10,000 m² wooded park. It’s much more pleasant than concrete and asphalt. No traffic jams either and lower land pressure. Our clientele is rather national, and from here we deliver just as fast everywhere in France as if we were in Paris.”
