The National Federation of Emeralds of Colombia announced that two necklaces made with Colombian emeralds achieved record figures during the ‘Magnificent Jewels’ auction, organized by the luxury house Christie’s in New York.

Among the highlighted jewels is a necklace of Mughal-cut emeralds, featuring five gems of Colombian origin, each engraved with the inscription ‘Ahmad Shah Durr l- Durran’. The jewel was auctioned as lot 41.
