The Enforcement Directorate has escalated its investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft case, summoning actor Jayaram for questioning and preparing to call the alleged main accused. This development marks a significant step in the high-profile probe.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The ED has issued a summons to actor Jayaram for questioning. Agency officials provided this information on Friday. The agency is also preparing to send a summons to the alleged main accused, Unnikrishnan Potty, in this case.
Unnikrishnan Potty recently came out of jail after getting bail from the Kollam court in Kerala in the same case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Kerala Police is also investigating the Sabarimala case. It is believed that actor Jayaram will appear before the agency in the next few days. Prior to this, the Kerala Police SIT had also questioned Jayaram in Chennai. The actor had then denied any wrongdoing.
It is reported that the SIT questioned Jayaram after a video surfaced showing actor Jayaram and Potty praying together. This interrogation was based on that. During that time, Jayaram had said:
After which Jayaram was let go. Meanwhile, in this case, the main accused Potty came out of the Thiruvananthapuram sub-jail on Thursday after being granted bail by a local court in Kollam in another case related to the alleged gold loss.
The ED had questioned former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) administrative officers Murari Babu and S. Sreekumar earlier this week in this case. On Friday, the ED questioned Sreekumar again. Apart from these, the ED has also questioned TDB executive officer D. Sudheesh Kumar. It is noteworthy that the SIT has arrested 12 people in this entire case, including two former TDB presidents.
